Found this etc. No one else will care but I find it interesting.
In Roman mythology, Fortuna (equivalent to the Greek goddess Tyche) was the personification of luck, hopefully of good luck, but she could be represented veiled and blind, as modern depictions of Justice are seen, and came to represent the capriciousness of life. She is also a goddess of fate.

carl orff is pretty interesting actually. unlike wagner, nobody can quite remember how much the nazis liked him - at the time, he was a bit of a pinup boy for the reichskiddies who found him to be quite amenable to producing more teutonic fairytales when other musicians refused to work with them... but after the war, a lot of evidence came out that ranged from him personally hiding jews and belonging to subversive groups.
none of which proved to be true, but they somehow managed to keep him out of trouble after the war. bit weird, given that his work was far more influential than that of collaborative filmmakers like leni reifenstahl who were sentenced to years of imprisonment.
i am ranting and raving about this because i do not know anything about greek mythology and do not like research methods.
