Ariel is here. She is awesome. She arrived yesterday and I was late getting to the airport because there were 3 seperate car accidents. The last one was right in front of me. A motorbike rode out onto the big roundabout near the airport in front of a ute which clipped the back of it. Probably ok, might have broken a leg or something but it wasn't really high speed so he survived.

Anyway, I did get to the airport, put my car in short-term parking and ran to the terminal, forgetting to remember where I parked. Turns out Ariel's flight landed 30 mins late and then it took an hour to get luggage and go through customs. So after all that rushing, I waited for an hour and 20 mins trying to work out why the video camera I borrowed doesn't work.
I also managed to win $9 on scratch-its that I got for my birthday.

Both of us were pretty tired yesterday so we just did a driving tour of Brisbane and had a nap. And got ice cream. Today is a walking and public transport spectacular where we hope to find lunch, soap, and something else that I can't remember right now.
