Image resizer in C#.NET
In category Geebin on 06 Nov 2005 @ 01:07 pm
Despite Thei sending me the ImageResizer powertoy for XP, I went ahead and wrote my own simple little app to resize a large amount of images as quickly as possible. It didn't take too long to write but now I start to realise why I didn't use .NET before. I have managed to find quite a few XP SP2 machines that don't have the framework installed and as a result, you can't run .NET programs. As useful as it all is, it's kind of useless.. If I had written this in VB6, it would have taken longer but I could have just grabbed a couple of .ocx files and send them with my program and it would run on anything after windows 95.

I guess I find out how big the .NET runtime is. If it's too large then I'll either write the app in VB6 or find another way to quickly resize 250 photos to upload to my website.

Dear Microsoft .NET team,

Please make a small framework download so writing .NET programs, (which I do enjoy doing), isn't quite so useless.

Just refreshed the files to download. With any luck they still work...

Aww. (kiss) You're so cute when you're mad at people other than yourself. I have a picture like that. But it was taken in fifth grade. (laughs) Oh look! I'm all remembered now. Sweet. Also, you're very(too) thin. You know that "No Standing" sign? I'm sure you're the only person in the world who could fit between those two arrows. hinthint
