Reward allies... that just doesn't sound right. I can picture the conversations now..
"Ya know Mr Howard, If you sign the Free Trade Agreement I'll let you stay the night". (edit: John Howard is the Australian Prime Minister for those who don't know. i.e. Anyone outside of Australia)
"If you let us bomb Iraq you can pet the pony".
"Everyone in the U.N. isn't invited to my party at the ranch now!"
